Situated at the eastern edge of the market town of Hawes in Wensleydale, this Dales livestock auction mart is set in beautiful countryside yet is only 30 minutes drive from the A1 to the east and the M6 to the west. The mart serves a large area of the Yorkshire Dales and surrounding moorland, drawing store sheep, breeding sheep and cattle. Established almost 100 years ago Hawes Farmers’ Auction Mart has considerable experience in livestock marketing. The livestock from the area is renowned for its quality, with many buyers returning year after year from all parts of the country. Other services offered by the auction mart include a property/land agency, livestock and entitlement trading, farmers advice bureau, and access to haulage companies for buyers.
